ABOUT US

NOAHS ARK FAMILY

We understand that starting your child at an early learning centre is an important decision and can be full of emotions. And, we are here to support your family through this change, every step of the way.

At Noahs Ark, we have an Open-Door Policy and actively seek and encourage families to be involved in the Service. This can range from evaluating and adding input to your child’s program and observations, volunteering within the Service and sharing skills & experiences that the children and the program will benefit from.

As mentioned in our philosophy, we strongly believe in providing children with the highest quality of care, allowing each child to fully reach their potential in improving their growth and development, whilst creating a stimulating, healthy and caring environment.

Everybody has a different communication style and time for communication. We understand that mornings and afternoons can be a little rushed, and not the best time to discuss your child’s day.

We have many types of communication we use for families, which include:
  • Newsletter
  • Phone calls to your work
  • Emails
  • Letters
  • Face to face
  • Daily journals on Story Park
  • Family weekend forms
  • Mid-year and End of year interviews
  • Formal meetings

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Noahs Ark Learning Academy, we strongly believe in providing children with the highest quality of care, allowing each child to fully reach their potential in improving their growth and development, whilst creating a stimulating, healthy and caring environment. The National Quality Framework aims to promote safety, health and well-being of children thus, providing a standard to all the educators at Noah’s Ark in ensuring all children’s needs are being met on a daily basis.

Noahs Ark educators recognise the importance of utilising and implementing the principals and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) We value all children as unique individuals and aim to enhance all areas of development. Through this, we provide an individualised program, which caters to all children according to their age and stage of development and intend to meet the 5 learning outcomes. The principals, practices and learning outcomes of the Early Years Learning Framework are an essential part of our pedagogy and guide educators when developing the curriculum.

The foundation of our program consists of the children’s knowledge, ideas, culture, abilities and interests. Our curriculum recognises the child’s voice, it captures the child’s ideas and intentions and enables them to make choices and decisions, therefore allowing the children to become active participants in their own learning.
