OUR PROGRAM

SCHOOL-READINESS PROGRAM
Our school readiness program gives your child a head start!
Starting school can be challenging for kids and parents alike. New material and experiences can leave the kids overwhelmed and you worrying about them lagging behind their classmates. Our school readiness program is delivered by fully qualified teachers who are skilled in maximising outcomes for children. Our aim is to ensure that each and every child is fully prepared for school and life beyond.

Our holistic School Readiness Program aims to enhance the development of confidence and independence skills; these your child will need prior to starting school, helping to build a solid foundation for later learning. The School Readiness Program promotes interests and assists your child in becoming an active learner.
The program and our extensive educational resources provide opportunities for your child to develop to their full potential whilst having fun at the same time.

We focus on the development of both social and emotional intelligence. It is of the utmost importance that children learn to socialise and cooperate with their peers and adults whilst being able to effectively communicate their feelings. Pre-schoolers can then learn to transition smoothly throughout the day’s routine, enhance their attention span, respect themselves and others, and extend on their academic skills.
CURRICULUM

Noahs Ark Learning Academy’s early childhood education and care program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework. By delivering a successful Curriculum, we ensure that our students actively participate in a complete care and educational program that integrates all aspects of child development. In this way, Noah's Ark’s Curriculum aims to prepare children, not only for school, but for life.

BELONGING
Experiencing belonging – knowing where and with whom you belong – is integral to human existence. Children belong first to a family, a cultural group, a neighbourhood and a wider community. Belonging acknowledges children’s interdependence with others and the basis of relationships in defining identities. In early childhood, and throughout life, relationships are crucial to a sense of belonging. Belonging is central to being and becoming in that it shapes who children are and who they can become.

BEING
Childhood is a time to be, to seek and make meaning of the world. Being recognises the significance of the here and now in children’s lives. It is about the present and them knowing themselves, building and maintaining relationships with others, engaging with life’s joys and complexities, and meeting challenges in everyday life. The early childhood years are not solely preparation for the future but also about the present.

BECOMING
Children’s identities, knowledge, understandings, capacities, skills and relationships change during childhood. They are shaped by many different events and circumstances. Becoming reflects this process of rapid and significant change that occurs in the early years as young children learn and grow. It emphasises learning to participate fully and actively in society.
THE DAILY ROUTINE

At Noahs Ark, we understand the importance of children’s developmental stages. Our program is designed to be age appropriate and tailored according to the children’s individual needs, keeping in mind that all children are different.

Throughout the day, educators have set up and implemented fun and educational activities that links to the children’s interests. We strive to provide a home and family environment at the centre where the children feel safe and secure at all times. The centre features three rooms which all promote a spacious, warm and inviting environment for all children.

The rooms are divided as follows:
  • 0 years – 2 years (Nursery)
  • 2 years – 3 years (Toddlers)
  • 3 years – 6 years (Pre-schoolers)

CHILDREN'S PORTFOLIO
Each child receives a personal development portfolio as a record of their achievements at the centre. The portfolio includes a collection of observations, artwork and other examples of the child’s learning and development. The portfolio is a keepsake for families to look back on their child’s achievements whilst being under our care at Noahs Ark.
